### How long does window tinting take?
3 door cars take around 30 to 40 minutes. Most cars are done in about an hour, and bigger vehicles like large SUVs and vans take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Your exact slot length is shown when you book online.

### What can I do while my car is being tinted?
You're spoilt for choice. The Apple Tree pub is literally at the end of the road, a 1 to 2 minute walk, and serves food and drinks from 11am to 11pm every day. Compton Acres shopping precinct is also close by with a cafe, a Tesco and takeaways including Domino's and a Chinese. Or hop on the 9 or 9B bus from Maythorn Close, a 2 minute walk away, and head into town. You're welcome to leave the car with us for the day, just collect it before 7pm.

### Where are you based?
9 Stonesby Vale, Nottingham, NG2 7UR. When you arrive, simply reverse onto the driveway and we'll be there to greet you and take care of everything from there.

### Can I just turn up, or do I need to book?
Booking only, but that doesn't mean waiting days. Same-day and even immediate slots can be booked with as little as 30 minutes notice, so you can book online and set off shortly after. We just can't take cars that turn up without a booking.

### Do you do mobile tinting?
No. For a perfect, lifetime-warranty finish the film has to be fitted in a properly controlled, clean environment inside the garage, away from wind, dust and moisture. It's the reason the work lasts, and with same-day bookings available it's still quick and easy to get done.

### Do I need to do anything before my appointment?
Just have the car as clean as possible: washed on the outside, and no excessive hair, sand or dust inside. You don't need to remove parcel shelves, dash cams or anything else, we take care of all of that.

### Is window tinting legal in the UK?
Yes. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen can be tinted to any shade you like, so our standard package covers everything behind the B-pillar. Front side windows must let at least 70% of light through by law; we can tint front windows for off-road use vehicles. Fully road-legal and MOT-safe.

### Which shade should I choose?
You don't need to decide when you book. We stock 5% limo black, 20% dark, 35% medium, 50% light and 70% ultra light. When you arrive you can compare real samples of every film on our demo glass before we fit anything.

### What film do you use?
We fit Global QDP carbon and ceramic films: premium automotive film with strong heat and UV rejection that won't turn purple or bubble like cheap dyed tint.

### What does the lifetime warranty cover?
The film and the installation, for life. If anything goes wrong, just get in touch by phone or email and we'll arrange a time to inspect and put it right. Scratches or physical damage to the film aren't covered.

### How soon can I open my windows after tinting?
Keep them up for 2 to 10 days depending on how warm it is outside; the film cures faster in warm weather. And when cleaning, avoid ammonia-based or harsh chemical cleaners on the film.

### Do you do vans and campers?
Yes, cars, vans and campers are all welcome. Taller vans and campers just need to be pre-booked so we can check the height fits the garage; pop the height of your vehicle in the notes when you book.

### Can you remove old tint?
Yes. We remove old, bubbled or peeling tint before fitting new film. It's priced on the day after we've inspected the condition of the existing tint.

### How do I pay? Do you need a deposit?
